Project Care is a program funded through Entergy Texas.  The chapter assist Beaumont and North Jefferson County Senior Citizen 60 and older or 55 and older with a documented disability with payment of their Electric, Gas, or Propane bills.  Applicants can receive assistance two times a year not to exceed $400.00 for the two applications and there must be a minimum of 6 months between applications.   Applicants are seen by appointment only, by calling 409-832-1644.  Counselors will review documentations to include proof of income, disability, and all the applicant's bills.   Disconnect Fees and Reconnect Fees are the responsibility of the applicant and will not be paid by Project Care.
